Morocco is a gateway to Africa and a country of astounding diversity. Epic mountain ranges, ancient cities, huge deserts - and great hospitality - await you here. Morocco could have been tailor-made for tourists, from the Saharan sands to the heights of the High Atlas. Like the vividly colored and patterned rugs, you’ll find at local cooperatives, lyrical vistas carpet this region of North Africa. The mountains give simple, magnificent pleasures: night skies sparkling in the thin air, and vistas across a fluffy cloudbank from the Tizi n’Test pass, not just the famous High Atlas but also the Rif and suntanned peaks leading to Saharan oases. There are rough beaches, waterfalls, and caverns in forested hills and an enormous desert on lower terrain.

To Visit
BEST TIMES

Plan a vacation to Morocco in the spring or fall for the finest experience, especially for first-time visitors, with May and September being the ideal months. The weather is constantly good, neither too cold in the highlands nor too scorching in the deserts, and crowds are more bearable near the coasts and in the cities. During the summer, head to the mountains and beaches, while in the winter, head to the Sahara and towns.
